Information You Send Directly
Information entered in a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, is sent to the outside provider that supplies the result. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Our host may create routine server logs containing an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use aggregated information to maintain the service and understand general page use. Cookies or comparable technology can support basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
We use that information to operate the reference, correct technical problems, measure traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links may lead to Mercer County or New Jersey record portals, libraries, archives, and outside search services. Those organizations apply their own privacy policies to information submitted there. The same is true of sponsored search results supplied by another company.
Who May Process Information
Providers that host or support the reference process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires it.
Protecting Information
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. There are no user accounts, so the service does not hold a visitor password or personal profile.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor sent information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
The New Jersey Data Privacy Act, P.L. 2023, c.266, codified at N.J.S.A. 56:8-166.4 et seq., provides covered consumers rights to know, access, correct, delete, receive, and opt out of certain processing of personal data. Because we retain very little, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and server logs and removing what we find. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by New Jersey, Mercer County, or West Windsor custodians are outside our control; direct a record-removal or correction request to the office that holds it.
